Bakery Manager

The bakery manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the doughnut shop, such as: quality control, cash management, team supervision and guidance, hiring and interviewing possible candidates, answering emails, social media posts, ingredient ordering and receiving, managing customer concerns and requests, jumping in and helping in all areas that may need it, shopping trips for supplies, equipment repairs and maintenance, etc. A bakery manager should be able to juggle multiple priorities and follow up to ensure they have been completed. Bakery managers start early (typically 4am) so contact with all staff positions can be made and any issues caught and addressed. One full-time position is available to start immediately at our 1194 Taylor Ave location.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
-Previous managerial experience required, preferably in a cafe or bakery setting;
-Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills;
-Experience managing staff, approachable and discreet;
-Attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Interest in learning all the positions, ability to cover when short staffed;
-Great customer service and communication skills;
-Food handlers certificate required (one can be obtained upon hiring);
-Ability to work under pressure as well posses initiative to keep busy during slower times;
-Trustworthy and flexible;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Fun and positive attitude, super friendly;
-Reliable, dependable, respectful and accepting of diversity

Doughnut Decorators

Doughnut decorators are responsible for finishing the doughnuts in the delicious flavours planned for the day (our menu changes everyday so there’s lots of variety!). Shifts start at 4 am and are 7-8 hours in length. Doughnut decorators are responsible for finishing the doughnuts according to appearance and recipe standards, making glazes and toppings (sometimes fillings) as required, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients, and cleaning duties. Doughnut decorators should have an eye for detail, a spring in their step and a sense of humor (it’s a small kitchen!). One full-time position available at each location to start ASAP.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:

-Organized and consistent with attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Pro-active and able to think critically;
-Strong multitasking skills;
-Able to work closely in a team;
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Knowledge of proper food handling procedures;
-Food handlers certificate an asset;
-Great communication skills;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Punctual and possesses a sense of urgency;
-Fun and positive attitude;
-Reliable, dependable, respectful and accepting of diversity;

Doughnut Slinger

Doughnut slingers are on the front line of providing doughnut happiness. Doughnut slingers are friendly, helpful and efficient, and are responsible for packaging doughnuts as customers request them in person, or via phone or Skip the Dishes, accepting payment, making coffee, stocking boxes and drinks, and cleaning, sometimes all at once. So the ability to prioritize tasks and multitask is extremely important. Previous experience working in a cafe setting highly favourable. Part time positions available to start immediately at our Taylor Ave location. Week day availability is a must.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:

-Previous customer service experience, preferably in a cafe or bakery setting;
-Strong multitasking skills;
-Attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
– Great customer service and communication skills;
-Ability to work under pressure as well posses initiative to keep busy during slower times;
-Experience handling cash and debit transactions;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Some weekday and weekend availability a must;
-Fun and positive attitude, super friendly;
-Reliable, dependable, respectful and accepting of diversity
