Doughnut Delivery Driver

Doughnut Delivery Drivers are responsible for delivering doughnuts to wholesale customer and customers who order online. Delivery drivers will be responsible for packing orders and organizing them, planning the most efficient delivery route using approved apps (must be able to download and use applicable apps on own smart phone). Access to a personal vehicle is a plus (mileage stipend will be provided), and friendly, superb customer service is a must. This position will involve a sense of urgency and pressure to ensure delivery deadlines are met while following all the laws stipulated in the Highway Traffic Act. A good knowledge of Winnipeg is required. During delivery lulls helping with the dishes is required. Some training will be provided. Weekend availability is a must.  Part time positions available to start immediately, daytime availability is a must. Deliveries are based out of our 1194 Taylor Ave location.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
-1-2 years customer service experience;
-Valid class 5 drivers licence with a clean driving record;
-Attention to detail/quality control;
-Knowledge of Winnipeg streets and neighbourhoods;
-Comfortable using a smart phone and posses one;
-Able to work with limited supervision efficiently and effectively;
– Great customer service and communication skills;
-Able to use personal vehicle for deliveries if needed-this vehicle is in good working order;
-Positive attitude;
-Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic;
-Integrity;
-Sense of humour;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Respectful and accepting of diversity.

Bakery Manager

The bakery manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the doughnut shop, such as: quality control, cash management, team supervision and guidance, hiring and interviewing possible candidates, answering emails, social media posts, ingredient ordering and receiving, managing customer concerns and requests, jumping in and helping in all areas that may need it, shopping trips for supplies, equipment repairs and maintenance, etc. A bakery manager should be able to juggle multiple priorities and follow up to ensure they have been completed. Bakery managers start early (typically 4am) so contact with all staff positions can be made and any issues caught and addressed. One full-time position is available to start immediately at our 1194 Taylor Ave location.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
-Previous managerial experience required, preferably in a cafe or bakery setting;
-Strong multitasking and problem-solving skills;
-Experience managing staff, approachable and discreet;
-Attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Interest in learning all the positions, ability to cover when short staffed;
-Great customer service and communication skills;
-Food handlers certificate required (one can be obtained upon hiring);
-Ability to work under pressure as well posses initiative to keep busy during slower times;
-Trustworthy and flexible;

Overnight Doughnut Artisans


Overnight Doughnut Artisans work through the night to make the dough that serves as the base for our delectable doughnuts. Overnight Doughnut Artisans are responsible for making yeast, cake and gluten friendly dough batches according to daily production lists and making adjustments based on kitchen conditions; cutting the dough into either filled, ring or fritter/cinnamon bun forms; monitoring the doughnut proofer to ensure the dough is properly risen; cleaning/dishes as required; refilling ingredient containers; and frying doughnuts on occasion. Full time position available to start immediately. Successful applicants can join our benefit plan after 3 months.

 

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:

-Previous commercial bread or doughnut making experience required;
-Willing and able to work overnight (9pm – 11pm start time, 7-8 hour shifts-weekend availability required);
-Organized and consistent with attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Ability to follow production lists;
-Pro-active and able to think critically;
-Strong multitasking skills;
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Knowledge of proper food handling procedures;
-Food handlers certificate an asset;
-Great communication skills;
-Willing to commit to a 1 year contract;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Punctual and possesses a sense of urgency;
