Production bakers are responsible for making the fillings, toppings and glazes as necessary based on the menu for the week. The ideal candidate has baking and/or cooking experience, is self directed and has a very strong ability to prioritize what needs to be made and in what quantities. The ability to multi-task is extremely important for this position.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
-Organized and consistent with attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Experience baking/cooking in professional environment required;
-Commitment to quality standards and consistency;
-Pro-active and able to think critically;
-Strong multitasking skills;
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Knowledge of proper food handling procedures;
-Food handlers certificate an asset;
-Great communication skills;
-Able to work independently;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Punctual and possesses a sense of urgency;
-Fun and positive attitude;
-Reliable, dependable, respectful and accepting of diversity;

The ideal candidate for this hybrid position should have an eye for detail, a spring in their step and a sense of humour (it’s a small kitchen!). One position is available to start immediately at our Taylor Ave location, shifts will usually start 9-10am and will be roughly 8 hours. The starting rate for this position is $16.50/hour, plus a share in daily tips. Benefits are available after 3 months of employment.
