Our Plan to Deal with COVID-19
We have been very mindful about our customer’s and staff’s safety during this pandemic. After two months of being completely closed, we feel we can return on a modest capacity to start.
Our Taylor Ave location will reopen for website pick up and delivery orders (these are all prepaid on the website with a credit card) as well as Skip the Dishes and Door Dash orders ONLY on May 27. Unfortunately this means only credit card payments are accepted online at this time, and the order minimum is 6 doughnuts. Walk up orders will not be available to start. We will operate with the reduced hours of 8am -2pm (OR SOLD OUT) each day. To maintain social distancing in the kitchen, we have staggered the shifts and have just the minimum of staff needed. This means we will only be able to make so many doughnuts each day. At this time, we will not be taking phone or email orders, to minimize the time folks are in the shop and contact between staff and customers. We will also be providing contactless delivery, so this means we won’t be delivering inside office buildings, but we will call for someone to meet us outside. If you are planning to order delivery, please provide contactless delivery instructions. We will assess how this goes and make changes as necessary.
We will also be offering a more modest menu, but will still offer the great variety we are known for (sorry, no CrOHnuts to start). Front of house staff will be wearing masks and keeping up with sanitizing surfaces. We will make sure there are only maximum 5 people in the shop at any one time.
If Taylor’s reopening goes well, we hope to open Broadway just for pick up orders/Skip/Door Dash the following week with the same reduced hours.
