Doughnut decorators are responsible for finishing the doughnuts in the delicious flavours planned for the day (our menu changes everyday so there’s lots of variety!). Shifts start between12am and 2am and are typically 7-8 hours in length. In this position you would be responsible for proofing and frying doughnuts as well as finishing the doughnuts according to appearance and recipe standards, making glazes and toppings (sometimes fillings) as required, ensuring adequate stock levels of ingredients, and cleaning duties. You should have an eye for detail, a spring in your step and a sense of humour (it’s a small kitchen!).

 

Candidates should possess the following qualifications/qualities:
-Organized and consistent with attention to detail and the ability to retain and recall information;
-Pro-active and able to think critically;
-Strong multitasking skills;
-Able to work closely in a team;
-Ability to work under pressure;
-Knowledge of proper food handling procedures;
-Food handlers certificate an asset;
-Great communication skills;
-Loves (or strongly likes) doughnuts;
-Punctual and possesses a sense of urgency;
-Weekend availability a must;
-Fun and positive attitude;
-Reliable, dependable, respectful and accepting of diversity;
-Has reliable transportation.

One position (30-40 hours/week) available to start at our Taylor location immediately. Wage rate increases possible based on performance after first 3 months of employment. Successful applicants can join our benefit plan after 3 months (min 20 hours/week). Starting wage ranges between $16.50-$17 with regular increases with good performance, attendance and seniority.
